organic chocolates

quality organic chocolate We only use quality chocolates and perhaps the best tasting example of these is our organic chocolate range. Organic chocolates are available in all of our chocolate ranges and include organic chocolate truffles, organic chocolate squares and organic chocolate buttons.

what does organic mean?

Our organic chocolates have been made using entirely natural methods. No artificial preservatives, colourings, flavourings or other additives have been used in our organic chocolates. The farmers who produce our organic ingredients do not use any chemical fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. They take a holistic, sustainable approach to farming, treating the farm as a balanced eco system that benefits from the use of natural agriculture.

how organic chocolate benefits you

Taste - Organic chocolate simply tastes better. Artificial additives are commonly used to cut corners in food production, but we rely on the quality of natural ingredients to produce superb tasting chocolate.

Health - The EPA (America's version of the Environment Agency) estimates that 60% of all herbicides, 90% of all fungicides and 30% of all insecticides are potentially carcinogenic. None of these have been used in the production of our organic chocolates.

Your company - The World market for organic produce has been growing by 20% per year since the early 90's and demand for organic food has never been higher. Choosing organic shows that your company is in touch with the demands of the modern consumer.

the benefits of organic chocolate to everybody

Intensive farming damages soil and introduces potentially harmful chemicals to the water table and the food chain. Organic farming promotes biodiversity and allows farmland to flourish as a natural eco-system thus maintaining soil quality without the use of hundreds of chemicals.

The risk to farmers of chemical accidents and the effects of long term exposure to agricultural chemicals is well known. This is a particular problem in developing countries where most of the cocao is grown. These countries often have less rigorous regulations concerning chemicals so dangerous that they are banned in many other parts of the World. As these chemicals are not used in organic farming the risk that they pose does not exists.
